PUVI Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil is made using the most sophisticated process available. In this wet method of extraction, centrifugal force rather than heat is used to extract oil from pure Coconut Milk. All the goodness of coconut is delivered into the oil. The oil will be clear and thin like water, with a fresh and obvious coconut aroma. It’s plain and pure coconut oil without any chemical ingredients and Sulphur treatment. We use coconuts from reliable farms to ensure purity. The naturally occurring rich aroma, flavour, and taste of the coconut is preserved.
Cold Pressed oil is extracted from nuts and seeds at temperatures not exceeding 50 degrees Celsius. There is no addition of any solvent to increase the Oil production or any other artificial methods. Due to lower temperature of extraction, Cold Pressed Oils are rich in nutrients, flavour and aroma. On the contrary, during the production of Refined Oils, excessive heat and chemical solvents are used which enhance the production. However, in the process the refined oils lose the nutritional values.
Puvi Cold Pressed Oils are extracted from superior quality seeds that are not malformed. As the oil is extracted using the Cold Pressing methods, the amount of oil extracted is substantially low compared to the refined oils that are extracted using high temperatures. Maintenance of the superior quality of oils increases the cost of production which makes Puvi Cold Pressed Oils a bit high priced than the unhealthy refined oils.
At the time of cold pressing, little bit of water is added to the seeds to keep the temperature low so that the nutritional value, flavour and aroma of the oil is retained. This caused the oil to froth, when heated. To reduce the froth try adding a little bit of Tamarind while heating the oil. Once the oil is heated, remove the tamarind and continue with your cooking as usual.
Litre is a measure of volume while Kg is the measurement of weight. And, depending on the density of the liquid the amount of litres in 1 Kg differs from one to another. For example, while 1-litre Groundnut oil weighs approx. 900gm, 1-litre water weighs equal to 1 Kg of water.
