To grind into paste
  • 2 Gloves
  • 12 inch Cinnamon stick and Ginger 
  • 12 teaspoon Coriander seeds and 12 teaspoon Cumin seeds 
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Onion roughly chopped
    1 cups Spinach (Palak) washed 
  • 2 small Green chilies

  For palak rice recipe: 
  • Dry roast the spices stirring continuously. (Except Bay leaves) 
  • Grind together the roasted spices and vegetables (Washed and stems removed). Make a smooth paste and keep it aside.

 Making Palak Rice Recipe: 

  • Heat the Puvi Cold Pressed Groundnut Oil in a saucepan on medium heat. Once hot add bay leaves. Saute for 30 seconds. 
  • Add prepared paste. Cook for 4-5 minutes. . Stir in rice and salt. Add water. w
  •  Bring it to a boil. AN w . Once it starts boiling, lower the heat. Let it cook for 17-18 minutes, covered with a lid. After 17 minutes, turn off the stove.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes covered. Then open the lid. 
  • Fluff up and mix gently using fork. 
  • Serve hot with curd or raita.
