Singhara Ka Halwa Recipe


  • 1 cup Singhada atta (Water Chestnut Flour)
  • 3 tbsp Ghee (Clarified Butter)
  • ½ tsp Cardamom powder
  • Chopped Cashew, Almonds and Pistachio - 2 tbsp
  • 2 cups water

PREPARATION & Singhara Ka Halwa Recipe

  • In a pan, heat 2 tbsp Ghee and add Singhada Atta to it. 
  • Saute the flour for 3 to 4 minutes on medium heat until it becomes golden brown. Keep stirring to avoid it from getting burnt.
  • To the flour add 2 cups of warm water while stirring flour to prevent any lumps.
  • Cook the mixture on low heat until the mixture thickens.
  • Now add sugar and Cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Cook the mixture on low heat until the Halwa leaves the sides of the pan. 
  • Now add rest of the Ghee and mix well. 
  • Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped Cashew, Almonds and Pistachio.Your Singhada Halwa is ready. Enjoy it hot.
