Preparation & Sweet Potato Chips Recipe

  • Clean the Sweet Potatoes thoroughly with water and then peel them with a peeler. You can also use unpeeled Sweet Potatoes but, make sure that the skin is properly cleaned
  • Slice the Sweet Potatoes thinly using a slicer and keep them in a bowl filled with cold water for 30-60 minutes 
  • Remove the Slices from the water and pat dry with paper towels
  • In a deep wok, heat Puvi Cold Pressed Groundnut Oil for deep frying. You can also use Puvi Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, if you like
  • Once the oil is hot, reduce the flame to medium and fry the Sweet Potato slices in small batches
  • Make sure to put the slices in oil individually and not in batches together so that each slice is separated from each other. This helps in cooking crispier Chips
  • Once the Chips are golden brown, strain them from the oil & keep them on a paper towel
  • Once the Fried Chips have cooled down, sprinkle Rock salt on them and enjoy.
