Aloo Chiwda Recipe


  • 2 cups Potatoes grated

  • Peanuts, Almonds, Cashew, Raisins- ½ cup
  • Powdered Sugar as per taste (optional)
  • Rock Salt (Sendha namak) as per taste
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper 
  • Puvi Cold Pressed Groundnut Oil 

PREPARATION & Aloo Chiwda Recipe 

  • Clean the potatoes and peel them. Grate the potatoes using a grater. You can also slice them using a Slicer and then cut the slices into thin strips.
  • Wash the potatoes in water to drain off the starch and pat dry using a cloth towel
  • In a Kadai heat Puvi cold pressed Groundnut oil.
  • When the oil is hot, lower the flame to medium and deep fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown. 
  • Once the Potatoes are fried thoroughly, strain them on a paper towel.
  • Now, deep fry the peanuts, almonds and cashew in the oil on medium. You can also roast them in a pan.
  • Strain the dry fruits in another paper towel.
  • Now, mix the fried potatoes with the dry fruits. Add the raisins, rock salt and black pepper and mix well. 
  • Your fasting snack is ready.
